AWSC led efforts to rescue a 14 foot white shark stranded on White Crest Beach in Wellfleet, MA

Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and OCEARCH teamed up on Expedition 2013 to connect the community to white shark research taking place off the coast of Cape Cod.

Two great white sharks were tagged off Chatham. The sharks were tagged by state Division of Marine Fisheries shark researcher Greg Skomal and volunteers with the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy.
Third in a series of field updates following the work of the Massachusetts Shark Research Program led by Dr. Greg Skomal this season off of Cape Cod. This day was spent in waters close to North Beach Island off of Chatham and the team was able to closely follow and photograph two different white sharks.

At sea with the Massachusetts DMF white shark research team now engaged in a new Population Assessment Study in Cape Cod waters.

Fourth in a series of field updates following the work of the Massachusetts Shark Research Program led by Dr. Greg Skomal this season in Cape Cod waters. This day was spent in waters east of Monomoy NWR in the area known as "Shark Cove".
The action on the water is starting to heat up. Pilot Wayne Davis sighted five white sharks on this day and the Massachusetts Shark Research team was in action for nearly 7 hours following these amazing predators in 10 - 20 ft of water.
