Introduction to Shark Biology Workshops

at Pleasant Bay Community Boating

Join us for this JAWesome hands on learning opportunity! What makes sharks unlike other animals? What characteristics do they have that enable them to hunt so well? Swim so fast? Learn the basics of shark biology and develop an understanding of their anatomy by participating in this workshop. Youth will participate in several learning labs, and end the workshop by participating in a spiny dogfish shark dissection. This workshop will run on several dates over the course of the summer to provide an opportunity for locals and visitors to be immersed in shark biology.

This program is for youth entering grades 4 to 7 and is $25 per participant.

Workshops will take place at the Boathouse at Pleasant Bay Community Boating
