Dr. Skomal is an accomplished marine biologist and charismatic speaker who has been a senior fisheries biologist with Massachusetts Marine Fisheries since 1987, and currently heads up the Massachusetts Shark Research Program as well as directing the scientific research on Great White Sharks off the coast of Cape Cod for the last 6 years. He will be presenting his latest findings of his first of its kind population study of great white sharks in the Western North Atlantic.
Wayne Davis is a spotter pilot, marine photographer and former Point Judith, RI fisherman. Working together with Dr. Skomal and the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, over 60 Great Whites off the coast of Cape Cod were identified and cataloged and 18 were tagged in the 2014 season.
All proceeds will benefit Dr. Skomal’s research via the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History.
