Join us for an exciting event at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History where families will be exposed to great white shark research on Cape Cod. Youth will experience the steps taken when tagging a shark, collecting data, and identified sharks through photo analysis.
This event will appeal to youth and young teens, but will be informative and engaging for parents as well. The program includes a guided demonstration of tagging a shark, using the OCEARCH method. Kids will have the opportunity to take on the role of scientists and crew and will be fully engaged in the process through the use of props and models. Families will have the opportunity to meet and speak with Dr. Heather Marshall who has participated in three great white shark research expeditions.
For reservations please call the Museum at 508-896-3867 ext. 133.
